Game Mechanics

Understand how 100 Waves Later works. Master these systems to become a better survivor.

🔧

Scrap System

Scrap is the main currency in 100 Waves Later. You earn it by killing zombies and completing waves.

  • Scrap drops from all enemy kills
  • Scavenger class increases scrap gains
  • Used to buy weapons, classes, and reroll perks
  • Melee builds can accumulate more scrap (no weapon drops needed)
📦

Mystery Boxes

Mystery boxes appear during waves and contain random weapons or items.

  • Can contain any weapon in the game
  • Duplicate weapons give scrap and ammo instead
  • Scavenger 2nd perk rerolls duplicates to new weapons
  • Higher waves have better mystery box contents
